Welcome! This is a project focused on making accessibility central to free and open source software. Everyone should be able to enjoyably use operating systems, word processors, audio and music editors, video editors, developer tools, and so on. No one should be using proprietary tools because they have to.
For people with disabilities, the most disadvantaged group, free and open source software should be a place where they are welcome. Instead, it's more a place where they're an afterthought. Let's change that! This project will seek to gather all kinds of people, from people with disabilities, to developers, to translators, hobbyists, and everyone in between, and improve accessibility across the open software landscape.
For now, the project is in its beginning stages. It's focused around a mailing list and a Matrix room. More will come later, as we tackle our first projects and make FOSS accessible, one day at a time.
